Accompanying Children

Safaris
- Morning or afternoon / evening game drives can be arranged upon request at an additional charge.
- A total sum of USD 30 (approx. equivalent to Rs.5500/-) will be applicable for a three hour safari drive for upto a maximum number of four persons.
- A further USD 5 (approx. equivalent to Rs.900/-) will be applicable per each additional person.

Conditions
General
- Hotel accommodation is only through prior reservation. Walk in reservations are not accommodated.
- Reservations can be made via e-mail, telephone or "Booking.com".
- Check-in time is at 12 p.m. and check-out is at 10 a.m. Early check-ins and late check-outs can be accommodated upon request, but is subject to availability.
- Some valid means of identification, i.e. passport (foreign patrons) or national identity card (local patrons), must be presented at check-in.
- If the reservation is made on bed & breakfast or half board basis (not including lunch), but lunch is required to be prepared at the hotel on the day of arrival, advance notice is required. If not informed in advance, 45-60 minutes is required for preparation of lunch.
- Any dietary restrictions (intolerances, allergies, etc) or requirements (vegetarian / vegan) must be clearly and specifically informed well in advance.
- Laundry services available on request. Additional rates apply.
- An additional bed per chalet can be arranged on request. Advance notice required. Subject to availability and additional rates apply.
- Chauffeurs (drivers) or guides cannot be accommodated at the hotel. However, suitable and economic accommodation is available in the vicinity.
- Safari drives and other excursions can be arranged on request. Advance notice required and additional rates apply.
- Transport from your initial destination to the hotel and from the hotel to your next destination can be arranged through our partner transport services. Advance notice is required and additional rates apply.
Safaris
- Safari (game) drives to Udawalawe National Park can be arranged on request. Additional rates will apply as given above. Please see ‘RATES’ above for applicable rates.
- Guests will be picked up from and dropped off at the hotel in the safari jeep.
- A safari drive will last upto three hours, i.e. from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. or from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- A maximum number of six persons can be accommodated in one safari jeep.
- The nominal park entrance fee must be borne separately by the guest and is payable at the park office prior to entrance to the park.
- Should you require a park guide to accompany you on your safari drive (not mandatory), this can be arranged at the park office. Additional charges will be applied by the park office for such facility and must be borne by the guest.
Offers
Early bird offer:
- 15% discount on the room rate.
- Applicable to bookings made on full board basis only.
- Reservation should be made 30 days or more prior to the date of reservation.
- A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the room rate is applicable at the time of making the reservation.
Honeymoon package:
- 15% discount on the room rate and a complimentary bottle of wine
- Applicable to bookings made on full board basis only.
- The date of stay must be within one year of marriage.
- Some acceptable proof of date of wedding must be provided via e-mail prior to confirmation of booking.
- The management reserves the right to confirm the applicability of this offer at its sole discretion.
Refund Policy
- Free cancellation permitted.
- In the event of cancellation by the guest where payment has been made in advance, the entire payment sum will be refunded, provided that the hotel has not incurred any loss due to such cancellation (eg. through the loss of other bookings).
- In the event that the hotel has incurred any loss due to cancellation by the guest, such sum will be deducted from the amount refunded.
- Requests for refunds due to cancellation by the guest must be forwarded via e-mail.
- The guest must bear all local and foreign bank transfer fees and credit card commissions, if any, for a refund.
- In the unlikely event that the hotel cancels a reservation which is fully paid for in advance, the full amount paid will be refunded.
- Refund will be made via bank remittance. Account details to be provided by the guest.
- Upto 3 - 5 weeks maybe required to complete the refund procedure where the monies are to be remitted outside Sri Lanka, due to stringent foreign exchange controls enforced by the Central Bank of Sri Lanka.
Payment method
- Payment can be made either in advance or upon check-out.
- Advance payments can be made via direct bank remittance. Account details will be provided to the guest upon request.
- In such instances all local and foreign bank transfer fees, if any, must be borne by the guest.
- One receipt / bill will be prepared for all items including charges for accommodation, meals and additional charges (where applicable).
- At check out payment must be made in cash (in Sri Lankan Rupees or US Dollars). Cheques or credit cards are not accepted.
- Please request for a copy of the receipt / bill upon settlement of same.
Insurance
- We assume no responsibility for any loss or damage to property or for injury, illness or death, for any damages or claims however so caused arising directly or indirectly from war, riot strife, industrial dispute, any contact with wild animals, terrorist activity, actions of governments or other state bodies, unavoidable technical problems with transport, machinery or equipment, delays, power failure, natural disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions or increase in water levels of rivers, any accidents during your stay with us or acts of god.
- A comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, medical expenses, emergency travel, personal accidents and personal baggage and money loss is advisable.
- It is the guest’s responsibility to obtain necessary travel insurance to cover his / her personal requirements.
- Please note that credit card travel insurance is inadequate for a safari / tour.
